Abstract

In a celebration of queer artistry and community, Kottilesben and NOMI Winebar have launched Kottilesbe des Monats, a monthly event that gives queer artists the space to exhibit their work in the warm, welcoming setting of NOMI, known for its wines by female producers. For our first Kottilesbe des Monats, we were thankful to feature Laa Wa. During the International Week of Deaf People, Laa Wa unveiled a stunning new artwork that captivated our guests. They also joined us for a panel discussion, sharing insights into their experiences as a deaf artist, their creative process, and their hopes for the future. The evening was a wonderful success, with Laa Wa’s honesty and passion deeply resonating with everyone present. This event marked the start of a series, and we’re already looking forward to our next.
